The two-year-old trained by Roger Teal at Lambourn was winning for the second time in three starts. He won the Amateur Jockey's Handicap with Brequet Boy (13/2), ridden by his wife, Brodie Hampson. Watson described it as a “great result”, and Brodie had given the horse a "great ride." Hollie Doyle was another to cross Berkshire from her home, and she won the Amazing Sri Lanka Handicap on 3/1 joint favourite Hakuna Babe, trained by William Jarvis and owned by Emma Banks, the music agent.
