The Seattle Kraken suffered a major setback in Game 4 of their first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche. Their leading scorer Jared McCann was forced to leave the game in the first period with an injury, following what was described by Seattle coach Dave Hakstol as a “late hit” from Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar. The Kraken eventually won the game in overtime to tie the series at 2-2. However, McCann has been ruled out for Game 5 and possibly even longer. Makar’s hit led to McCann falling on his back before rolling over on his stomach.
