The Kansas attorney general has squeezed into a spandex bodysuit and cape for a dubious attempt at convincing our state that he’s a man of steel battling the diabolical Gov. Kobach had already taken legal action on the birth certificate front, and on Friday he went after the licenses. That might not translate into a courtroom win, but she’s nonetheless goaded Kobach into a politically charged case. In that sense, trans advocates and their supporters should be glad that Kobach has taken on this case in his most blustery mode. When the man has swaddled himself in superhero garb before, he has made a mockery of both himself and his office.
