The Middle Eastern airport reported that the drone struck the passenger terminal building, resulting in multiple casualties. ‌The incident comes in the wake of retaliatory attacks by Iran across the Middle East, following early morning strikes carried out by US and Israeli forces today (Saturday, February 28). ‌Despite the damage sustained at the airport, officials have stated that the situation is "under complete control". In an official statement posted on X, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the State of Kuwait, speaking through its official spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi, confirmed that a drone had targeted Kuwait International Airport.
