Cummings has clarified that he is not in support of gay rights in Liberia and has no intention of legalizing same sex marriage if he is elected President. “First of all I have been married to Theresa for thirty-five years; we have two grown children in their thirties. I am a Christian and have no intention whatsoever to introduce or support gay lifestyle. People are thinking that you are not plenty because you are not loud; but you are plenty; enough to win on the first ballot. Come outside on October 7 and show the whole world that ANC is alive and you are carrying Alexander Cummings,” he urged.
