Tonight's event follows a few days after a similar event was held to celebrate the 74th birthday of the Asantehene. Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, was born on May 6, 1950. He ascended to the Golden Stool, becoming the 16th Asantehene, on April 26, 1999.
