On one hand, petrol and diesel prices are touching new highs every day and on the other hand, LPG prices are skyrocketing. The price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi has reached Rs 843. According to Deepak Sriramakrishnan, Associate Director, World Resource Institute, now electric cooking is cheaper in Delhi than LPG. Significantly, on July 1, 2021, the price of an LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 140 to Rs 834. After the increase in the price of LPG, the price difference between LPG and PNG has widened.
