The National Executive Council of the Labour Party has dissolved the Nenadi Usman Caretaker Committee and reaffirmed its confidence in the National Working Committee led by Mr Julius Abure. “The following resolutions were adopted: Arising from the Tribune publication of March 6, 2026, calling for both virtual and physical NEC meetings, this virtual meeting became imperative. “NEC in session reviewed the activities of the Caretaker Committee and concluded that it had done incalculable damage to the party since its inception, which was deemed illegal. “NEC consequently dissolved the Esther Nenadi Usman Caretaker Committee. The NEC also nullified all notices previously issued to INEC by the Nenadi Usman Caretaker Committee.
