The Labour Party has asked His Majesty's Revenue and Customs to investigate the tax affairs of Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice. Party chair Anna Turley wrote to the tax authority after the Sunday Times reported Tice had "avoided nearly £600,000 in corporation tax" through his property company. Turley said the article presented a "deeply troubling case which needs to be investigated with the utmost urgency". The BBC has contacted Tice for a response. He told the Sunday Times that he had complied with all relevant rules and that the firm, Quidnet Reit Ltd, was "a UK company paying UK tax in accordance with UK laws".
