The roof leaks that reportedly ruined documents and records at a Philippine Health Insurance Corp.’s (PhilHealth) office in Region 1 (Ilocos) do not seem to have “natural causes,” Sen. Panfilo Lacson said on Saturday. In an interview on DWIZ radio, Lacson claimed word reached him that the leaks happened in select areas of a building that PhilHealth staff had only moved into in December. “There were indications [that] the roof [leaks were] not due to natural causes. According to him, Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission personnel examining the documents were surprised by the leak.
