The Beatrice girls basketball team turned in another great defensive performance in a 45-33 win over Elkhorn in the second round of the Beatrice Holiday Tournament on Thursday. The Lady O trailed 10-7 after the first quarter and held an 18-16 lead at half time. Beatrice's defense held Elkhorn to just four points in the third quarter as they built their lead to 28-20. They would knock down 13 free throws in the fourth quarter on their way to the winWith the win, Beatrice improves their record to 5-1 on the season. {{featured_button_text}}The Lady O opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run.
