The Lagos Country Club has honoured Segun Shonubi with its 2025 Outstanding Resource Person Award, recognising his contributions to the club and his wider professional impact. According to a statement, the club presented the award at its 2026 New Year’s Party, where the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, represented the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the Special Guest of Honour. The organisation stated that under Shonubi’s leadership, the committee revived the Lagos Country Club Business Forum, which had been dormant for 10 years, and repositioned it as a platform for thought leaders to collaborate on strategies for national growth and economic stability. The Lagos Country Club described Shonubi as a seasoned professional. Shonubi is married to Justice Adenike Shonubi of the Lagos State High Court.
