The land pooling policy, since the web portal launch, received 36 applications till Thursday morning, said a senior official of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Union Minister Hardeep Puri and Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday had launched the web portal for the land pooling policy, enabling interested stakeholders to register. This is only the first step where landowners need to register by providing details of their land. The policy promises to provide 17 lakh houses, including five lakh for the economically weaker section, for approximately 76 lakh people. While launching the web portal, Mr. Puri had said, “People of Delhi have been waiting for the land pooling policy for a very long time now.
