Antanas Klibavicius packed up his tenants’ clothes, bedding, and even his son’s play things before leaving them outside and changing the locks at the property. The tenant, Antanas Danilevicius, had fallen into rent arrears and got home from work last February to see his belongings including his five-year-old son's toys strewn across the pavement. Klibavicius, had also packed up a TV, a vacuum cleaner, watch, and collectable coins and put them outside the property in Basford Place, Sheffield, on February 4. Sheffield City Council launched proceedings against 40-year-old Klibavicius, of Basford Place, and he appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court where he admitted one charge of unlawful deprivation of occupation. Janet Sharpe, Director of Housing and Neighbourhood Services at Sheffield City Council, said: “We will not tolerate the harassment or illegal eviction of private tenants in this city as this case shows.
