The US Attorney's Office in Portland brought federal charges against 96 people who were accused of crimes including assaulting federal officers, civil disorder, and failing to obey. Alexandra Eutin (left), 24, and Alexa Daron Graham (right), 33, were arrested in Portland and charged with federal crimes last year. But the Biden administration made clear that it views the BLM protests and the Capitol riots as two separate issues. More than 40 percent of those facing federal charges are white. In one case in Utah, where a police car was burned, federal prosecutors had to defend why they were bringing arson charges in federal court.
