Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman has said that the prosecution of crimes against humanity related to the July uprising will proceed in a normal and uninterrupted manner. He made the comment on Wednesday, in response to reporters’ questions after assuming office at the ministry. The law minister said the state will properly honor the sacrifices of those who gave their lives during the July uprising in the pursuit of establishing democracy. Md Asaduzzaman said there are challenges “as big as mountains,” but the government will continue to work relentlessly to meet people’s expectations. Efforts will be guided by the memory of those who gave their lives over 17 years to protect democracy and establish justice.
