Lawmaker apologizes for "zooming” while driving

Lawmaker of the Federation of Trade Unions Kwok Wai-keung apologized after being found to have attended an online Legislative Council panel meeting on Thursday while driving on the road. Kwok was spotted by reporters covering the Legco meeting yesterday that he was wearing a seatbelt, and constantly looking around in a manner like he was cruising on the road. The lawmaker apologized today, saying he would reflect deeply on his driving attitude and pledge to abide by road traffic regulations in the future. He also added that he would cooperate with future investigations, if any. Kwok yesterday indirectly admitted to driving while “zooming” in a social media post, saying he had later parked his car to continue the meeting as quickly as possible.
