WASHINGTON—Lawmakers from both parties are discussing the possibility of passing six of the seven spending bills that expire next weekend in an effort to minimize the impact of a potential shutdown over funding for a border wall. Meanwhile, lawmakers also said Friday that a one-week spending patch was likely going to be needed for Congress and President Trump to avoid a partial government shutdown when the bills expire at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8.
