Some of the men began to run around, allegedly hurting themselves when they slipped and fell on the slick floors. An elderly detainee injured his back when he fell off his bunk, according to the court filings. Eventually, the jailers ordered all of the inmates to the dayroom and left them there for a few hours before interviewing them about what happened.
