Lawyers in Rajasthan are up in arms for being left out of selection criteria for the ADJ examination. The ADJ exams have a 25 % quota allocated for lawyers and they can be appointed as judges under this. Meanwhile lawyers across Rajasthan have boycotted judicial work and have been protesting in different ways. The Rajasthan Bar Council and Bar Council of India have expressed support for the lawyers’ agitation. Judicial officers should not be permitted to appear for exam on the small lawyers’ quota,” said Rajesh Sharma, advocate, who is leading the agitation.
