Maple Leafs defenceman Carl Dahlstrom will require surgery on his injured shoulder and will out for six months, coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday afternoon. “It’s going to bring a six month recovery, so bad news on that front,” Keefe said as the Leafs boarded a bus to Belleville for Friday night’s pre-season game against the Senators. Not one you like to see.”Keefe also said that defenceman Jordie Benn will be out three weeks with a groin injury. “Not as bad as initially thought, but it will require some time to recover,” Keefe said. Dahlstrom, like Benn, was in the mix for an NHL job this camp.
