The Toronto Maple Leafs were kind of futzing around in a jumper-cable game in Vancouver, in overtime. It was a classic trap game, and the Leafs weren’t creating many great chances, and the Canucks were playing like it really mattered. But Frederik Andersen was in goal and he saves the Leafs a lot on the nights where they’re not great. Then an Alex Edler shot wobbled a bit and beat Andersen, and Toronto lost. All that’s riding on whether Andersen is at his best or not in the playoffs is the season.
