In goodwill messages, the two leaders separately told Kenyans Easter holidays should be a time to reflect on the challenges facing the country and keep fighting to circumvent them. Easter which starts on Friday is celebrated by Christians around the world in remembrance of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection three days later, as retold in the Biblical Books of John, Mathew and Luke. Mr Ruto said the suffering of Jesus Christ depicted in these stories should inspire Kenyans to love one another, in spite of divergent backgrounds. “As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us reflect on God's good deeds, His love for our country and pray for peace and harmony at all times.
