Leicester are at risk of falling into English football's third tier, a decade on from their stunning Premier League triumph, after being docked six points for breaches of financial rules on Thursday. In a statement, Leicester described the punishment as "disproportionate" and did not take enough account of "mitigating factors presented." Leicester are winless in their last four Championship fixtures and are without a permanent manager after the dismissal of Marti Cifuentes last month. In the 2015/16 season they won the Premier League despite starting the campaign as 5,000-1 outsiders. They bounced straight back to the top flight under Enzo Maresca, but were relegated again last season with just six wins in 38 games.
