Lemma Megersa Has Narrowed His Differences with Abiy Ahmed: Oromia BureauBy Staff ReporterDecember 23, 2019 (Ezega.com) -- Lemma Megersa, Ethiopian Minister of Defense and Deputy Chairman of the Oromo Democratic Party (ODP), has reportedly narrowed his differences with PM Abiy Ahmed and is now supporting both “Medemer” as a guiding philosophy and the merger of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) to form the Prosperity Party, according to a statement released by the Oromia Communication Bureau. Former executive members and senior leaders of ODP have participated in the effort to convince Lemma Megersa to join the Prosperity Party. The bureau said nothing if Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Lemma Megerssa had face-to-face discussion nor mentioned the mediators by name. Although Lemma Megersa is believed to have contributed a lot to the ongoing reform in Ethiopia, his reputations have gone down after the establishment of the Prosperity Party was officially announced early this month.
