Following two explosive stories about alleged corruption among several Lethbridge officers, that city's chief of police will hold a news conference to address "recent complaints" about the service. On Monday, CBC News published a story about six Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) employees' potentially unauthorized searches of NDP MLA Shannon Phillips personal information on police databases. UCP Justice Minister Kaycee Madu said he was "outraged" by the report and met with Lethbridge police Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh on Tuesday to address the matter. Lethbridge-West MLA Shannon Phillips on the street where Lethbridge police officers took surreptitious photos of her and followed her brunch guests. Bill Kaye was the program coordinator with the Domestic Violence Action Team in Lethbridge when he started a sexual relationship with one of his clients.
