RE: The council seeking views on beachfront facilities (AT 26th Jan), as far as Milford beach is concerned, it would be useful for most to actually get access to use it. From the Needles Eye Cafe carpark eastward to the shingle bank, there is almost no access because of the permanent storm boards, which prevent few but the most agile getting onto this section either by climbing over the storm boards at one end or negotiating a steep ramp at the other. The beach at MilfordThis long section had easy access up until the Valentine’s night debacle some years ago. A complete section of beach now unusable to most, with locals and visitors squeezed into a section from the White House to the area in front of the carpark. Protestations via local councillors in the past have got nowhere, so why will they now listen to residents’ views?
