If you don’t commute to IU using the only high-frequency routes, I’ll guess no (I rarely do). Even if fare revenue was replaced through other means, that funding would be much better spent on additional service. For those whom $1/ride represents a real obstacle, BT already offers reduced fares (and free passes distributed through social services). If increasing transit ridership is truly a goal of our community, we must pursue policies that bring the convenience of bus and car travel into closer parity: improve frequencies, expand coverage, build complementary infrastructure, i.e.
