A three-day validation workshop on the Liberia Firearms and Ammunition Control Act, sponsored by UNMIL in collaboration with the the Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA), has ended in Monrovia. James M. Fromayan, chairman of LiNCSA, in introductory remarks welcomed participants and introduced then to the validation process of the draft regulations of the Firearms and Ammunition Control Act that will enable authorities to enforce provisions of the Act in Liberia. Chairman Fromayan also underscored the need to validate the draft regulations as giving the Act teeth to bite.
