Another loss would have made it nearly impossible for Mr. Weah to mount a comeback in 2023. More importantly, Mr. Weah will be hoping to avoid the Haiti comparison, the one that saw a populist, Rev. Mr. Weah appears to be trumpeting similar refrain in what will no doubt be a closely-watched issue.
