Ambassador Geraldine Bass-Golokeh presenting her letters of Credence to the President of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, His Excellency Prokopis PavlopoulosAthens, Greece – Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary appointed to the Republic of Greece Ambassador Geraldine Bass-Golokeh has presented her letters of Credence to the President of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, His Excellency Prokopis Pavlopoulos. According to a dispatch from the Liberian Consulate near Athens, Greece, the presentation ceremony took place at a colourful event on February 11, 2020 where Ambassador Bass-Golokeh conveyed sentiments from President George Manneh Weah of Liberia to his Greek Counterpart H. E. Pavlopoulos. Ambassador Bass-Golokeh also held engagement meetings with Greek Government officials on bilateral issues including trade and investments with Liberia. The meeting mainly highlighted bilateral agreements and future involvement of the Greek Government participation in Liberia’s Development (Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) in terms of private and Government’s participation. Top among topics discussed were developments in the areas of road networks, mining, health, education, (vocational training) forestry, fisheries and aquaculture, agriculture, tourism among others.
