Liberia: Court Denies Rep. Kolubah Second Medical Leave

The Montserrado County District 10 lawmaker, who was indicted by the state in 2019 for alleged criminal charges, pleaded with the court to grant him a two week medical leave to seek medical treatment in Ghana. Findley Karngar on behalf of the Montserrado County District 10 Lawmaker, Presiding Judge Roosevelt Willie said that the court was not given “sufficient notice” to study the request. Meanwhile, the legal counsel for Representative Kolubah took exception to Judge Willie’s Wednesday’s ruling and promised to take advantage of the law controlling. This is the second time the Montserrado County lawmaker has made a request to the court to grant him medical leave since he was indictment by the state prosecutors back in June last year. His first medical leave was granted him on August 19, 2019 by the same court for medical reason after state prosecutors have banned him from leaving the country.
