The former defense minister made the call on Facebook where he announced his status. He wrote: “On Sunday 28 June, I took the bold step of testing for COVID-19. I urge others who may have been in close proximity with me in recent times to kindly volunteer to do your testing. As of June 30, Liberia had recorded 780 confirmed cases of which 420 active cases. There are 1,181 contacts that are under follow-up by the National Public Health Institute of Liberia.
