The Kpayarquelleh Community Clinic sits on a hill in the town whose name it bears. It is supported by community leaders with funds they generate from a logging concession signed between the government of Liberia and Alpha Logging and Wood Processing Company. "We are doing this because the funds are logging benefits we get from Alpha. By law, towns and villages affected by logging concessions signed between the government and companies are entitled to benefits from their forests. Apart from the clinic, Salayea and Zorzor have seen a dozen projects conducted with logging money between 2016 and last year that cost more than US$75,000.
