MONROVIA – The Liberia Football Association (LFA), with financial backing from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has taken a significant step toward strengthening grassroots football by awarding a grant of US$16,906 equivalent to over three million Liberian dollars to the Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA). The funds are specifically earmarked to cover logistics, equipment procurement, and administrative costs associated with organizing school football competitions nationwide. It follows a recent milestone in which the Association donated 600 footballs to ISSA to support school and community-based football activities across the country. With this latest intervention, the LFA continues to position school football as a critical pathway for nurturing future national team players while promoting education, discipline, and community engagement through sport.
