Brooks(Monrovia, Liberia – April 6, 2026) – The Gender Affairs Section of the Liberia National Police (LNP) recently conducted a high-level engagement with Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee, founder of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa. The Inspector General of the LNP later joined the session to formally welcome Madam Gbowee and emphasize the administration’s support for gender mainstreaming. Building on this momentum, the Inspector General appealed to the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa to support specialized in-service training programs for officers within the Women and Children Protection Section. In response, Madam Gbowee expressed her firm commitment to collaborating with the LNP leadership. The Liberia National Police reaffirms its dedication to building robust partnerships that modernize service delivery, promote gender equality, and ensure the safety and dignity of women and children across the Republic of Liberia.
