CAIRO - 29 January 2022: US special envoy to Libya Richard Norland discussed Wednesday, from his residence in Tunis, with Libyan national security adviser Ibrahim Bushnaf the latest Libyan developments. Norland reiterated US support of the coming Libyan elections. The solution to the Libyan crisis should be in the hands of Libyans and under their leadership, affirmed the Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations. Delivering a speech before a UN Council meeting on Libya, the Chinese official urged all the Libyan political parties to sit on negotiations table in order to put an end to the Libyan crisis. The Libyan elections is an important step as part of the political process, he added.
