The Libyan African Investment Company, LAICO, controlled by the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) headquartered in Tripoli, has recovered the ownership of Bahari Beach – a tourist resort in the Tanzania capital of Dar es Salaam, Libya Observer reports. The hotel, property of the Libyan state has been illegally controlled by another part since 2016. Considered as one of tourist attractions in the Tanzanian capital, Bahari Beach was built in 2003 during the rule of former Muammar Gaddafi who was killed in a NATO-backed revolution in 2011. Bahari Beach Hotel is situated along a white sand beach in Kunduchi and extends on 24 hectares, on the Indian Ocean shores. Kunduchi is located at about 25 kilometers from the city center of Dar es Salaam.
