Libya tops the list of African oil producing nations in OPEC October reportCreated: Thursday, 24 November 2022 09:01The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has declared Libya as the leading oil producer in Africa for the month of OctoberAccording to it, the North African nation's daily count is growing by about 6000 barrels per day (bopd) to nearly 1.163 mn bopd. OPEC stated on its monthly oil production survey that “in the past month, Libya ranked at the top of the Organisation of Petroleum Producing Countries on the African Continent’s list with 1.163 million barrels per day, followed by Angola with 1.067 million barrels per day.”“Algeria third with 1.060 million barrels per day and from Nigeria with a production of 1.024 million barrels,” read the report.
