A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of raping his 13-year-old stepgrandson in Mayflower, Mpumalanga, in 2019. According to police, the man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim, was found guilty of rape in the Regional Court in Elukwatini in October. In addition to being sentenced to life in prison, the man will be barred from working with children.
