Three persons were on Saturday struck dead by lightning in Afikpo, in the Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. It was learnt that the lightning struck around 3pm, killing the three persons in different locations in the area. He said, “Yes, it is true that lightning killed three persons in our place. “The lightning killed the three persons on the spot and it occurred in two different places. Egwu, the youth president of the Egeburu-Amaokwiri in the area, said the rain lasted for over five hours before the lightning struck.
