She was already very good, but Greta Streimikyte knew she could be better. That's why, after last year's World Para Athletics Championships, the Lithuanian-born 1500m runner decided it was time for a change. There, she trains alongside Rio Olympian Michelle Finn and national 1500m silver medallist Iseult O'Donnell, covering 60-65 miles a week. QuickAt the national championships in Santry last weekend, Streimikyte narrowly missed the women's 1500m final after running 4:38.54 in the heats - as quick as she's ever run.
