Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp quickly dismissed any talk of Timo Werner joining Chelsea in his pre-match press conference on Friday, insisting he had 'absolutely nothing to say about it'. The Reds were in pole position to land the highly-regarded German striker this summer with Werner's preferred destination Anfield and Klopp even reportedly having had a video call with the RB Leipzig star. 'That's really funny', Klopp responded to a question about Werner. Timo Werner is a really good football player and now he plays for Chelsea next season. Werner, who will leave RB Leipzig as their all-time leading scorer, has 32 in all competitions so far this season.
