Kone-Doherty's move to Molde comes almost 12 months after Liverpool made the decision to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid before his contract expired to get a fee. The Reds offloaded Alexander-Arnold to Los Blancos for £10m on June 1 in 2025, just 30 days before his contract expired. Kone-Doherty also made a late appearance in the 3-0 League Cup defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield in October.
