Liverpool have been told their next two priorities after signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch on deadline day. Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has urged the club to continue spending, but to switch their focus to the defence in January after signing four midfielders this summer. When asked by Grosvenor Sport whether more signings were necessary, Enrique replied: “100 per cent - two defenders in my opinion. They need a centre-back – I’ve been saying this for a while now – and they need a right-back as well. In my opinion they need four players, but they most urgently need defenders.
