The Merseyside Derby kicks off this weekend and will see Liverpool , currently placed second in the Premier League , face Everton in the longest running top-flight derby in England. At the moment, Everton is placed sixth on the Premier League table and will be more than 10 points behind The Reds ahead of the game. Everton has not won a Merseyside Derby for eight years, and a win at Anfield has not been seen since 1999. However, with players such as Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdson, The Blues is sure to give Liverpool a run for its money. And although Liverpool has had the better of this football fixture over its history, The Blues has had a good season and Sunday’s game is sure to be a thriller.
