The Los Angeles Times announced winners and finalists for its 2023 Best of the Southland San Gabriel Valley/Inland Empire reader survey this week, and several locals made the cut, including Claremont, which was selected as a finalist for best city. In the food and drink category, Last Name Brewing was named the best local craft brewery in the region while Claremont Craft Ales was a finalist. The Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College was voted the best museum and California Botanic Garden was a finalistin entertainment and living. In health and wellness, Mount San Antonio Gardens was voted best senior living care and retirement facility. Voting for the Times’ “best of the best” competition opens August 6 at latimes.com/bestofthesouthland.
