Students and staff at London's Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School were ordered to stay inside for more than an hour Monday after a firearm was reportedly spotted in the school yard. London police said they issued a "hold and secure" order at about 12:35 p.m. after being called to a disturbance in the school yard. Police said the incident involved two youths and that "visual reports" suggested one of them was "in possession of what appeared to be a firearm." They add the suspects are under-aged youths who know each other and do not pose a risk to the public. Larry Blondin, whose 15-year-old son attends Banting, rushed to the school from work after his sister-in-law told him police were there.
