Six firefighters have been rushed to hospital after they were injured in a collision between two fire engines. The shock incident happened on Farringdon road in central London with injuries including broken bones as well as chest and head injuries. The junction at the site of the incident was blocked in all directions while emergency crews rushed to aid the stricken firefighters. Six crew members were involved in the collision and were taken to hospital for checks by the London Ambulance Service. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 2We were called at 10.09pm on Saturday 3 January to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Farringdon Road and Clerkenwell Road, EC1M.
