Los Angeles Times(TNS)When Los Angeles firefighters arrived at the scene of a vehicle fire earlier this year in Wilmington, they found a semi-truck fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters had positioned their vehicles around the fire that was burning two large compressed natural gas tanks that helped power the vehicle. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a report of a truck fire on North Alameda Street shortly before 7 a.m. on Feb. 14. When the initial 911 call was made about the fire there was no information about the compressed natural gas, the complaint says. ©2024 Los Angeles Times.
